Crushed Velvet Apocalypse

My health took a major dive after that first post on here! :(

It’s been over a month since I’ve had this wicked bout of bronchitis. Between now and then, things didn’t go exactly as planned with the items I’ve been wanted to list.

I’ve also somehow maintained my hectic job, thrown in baby preparations, making time for family and madcap adventures in test driving new cars. Yeah, I have to get another one of those before the current jalopy blows up.

I felt duly accomplished last night in that I managed to get this eBay auction up. Hey, it’s the small things.

May I present to you the Goth Senorita dress by Betsey Johnson. It’s a late 90’s/early 00’s number and is a bit of goth and a bit of chola.

Although I’m sad to see it go, I think that it will find a happier home elsewhere. Let me just say BOOBS and mine will not be fitting into this dress until perhaps 2016, so there’s the real scoop.

This dress reminds me of when I was 16 and the LPD album Crushed Velvet Apolcalypse came out. I’ve had the privilege of seeing the Legendary Pink Dots live twice, once at the Roxy Theatre in L.A. Amazingly weird and I used to have quite a bit of Edward Ka-Spel on vinyl, too. Most of the China Doll stuff, etc.

My favorite Legendary Pink Dots song. Lisa’s Party!

I wonder why? A peculiar guy fremeny that I remember from long ago said that I was his “Lisa (of Edward Ka-Spel’s obsession)”. Ha. Goth-er than thou, right? Gotta love being a brooding teenager and hanging out with fellow kindred spirits.

“A hint of almond makes the dullest cake seem nice”.

Stay tuned for more eBay listings and a post where I will start to share all of my thrifting expertise.

What good is knowledge if you keep it to yourself? That’s been my mantra as of late.

Have a wonderful everything until next time and I promise that it will be sooner than the last with the next update.

I no longer have to take codeine nor rely on my Ventolin (it’s not just a great Aphex Twin song and remixes).

Warm regards,
Lisa
